Reporter Joseph Ojo Joins WPLG Miami

Berkshire Hathaway’s Miami ABC affiliate WPLG has added reporter Joseph Ojo to its newsroom. The station also produces newscasts for Scripps-owned CW affiliate WSFL there.

He joins from WBFF Baltimore, where his stories on Maryland Education received national recognition. Before Baltimore, Ojo spent two years in Fort Myers, Fla., as a breaking news nightside reporter. He was the first and only reporter on the scene of a massive fire at RSW International airport, where more than 3,500 cars burned after a brush fire.

He got his start in television news came as a reporter at KVLY-KXJB Fargo, N.D.

Ojo was born and raised in New York City and received his bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo, and served as an intern at WIVB Buffalo.
