Sarahbeth Ackerman Joins WPTZ As Morning Anchor
Hearst-owned NBC affiliate WPTZ Burlington, Vt., has hired Sarahbeth Ackerman as a morning anchor. Her first day will be Feb. 18.
Ackerman has been the morning reporter and fill-in traffic anchor for nearly five years at WFTV Orlando, Fla., and worked as a multimedia journalist and news director in Minot, N.D., where she helped transition her station to high-definition transmission.
She graduated from Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., with a degree in journalism.
Ackerman will join Tom Garris and Caitlin Napoleoni on the weekday morning newscast, NBC5 News Today.
