Shaynah Ferreira Joins WTXF Philadelphia News

Fox O&O WTXF Philadelphia has hired Shaynah Ferreira as a reporter and fill-in anchor for various newscasts, including Good Day Philadelphia. She begins Aug. 23.

Most recently, Ferreira was a reporter and anchor for WTNH New Haven, Conn. Prior to that, she was a reporter at WSAV Savannah, Ga. Ferreira began her career as an associate producer at WJAR Providence, R.I.

She also completed journalism course work in Havana, Cuba, where she was an executive producer for the mini-documentary, Afro-Cuba Libre, a piece documenting racial tensions and inequities on the island.

A graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Ferreira holds a degree in broadcast journalism.
