Spectrum Networks Launches Polling And Election Hub To Help Voters Prepare For Election Day

As part of Spectrum Networks’ commitment to cover locally relevant issues, Spectrum News has launched Decision 2020: The Election Hub, a digital destination for voters to find local resources and reliable information to prepare for the 2020 election.

Additionally, in partnership with market research firm Ipsos, Spectrum Networks conducted its first Spectrum News Poll in each of the nine states it has news operations, including key battleground states — Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Wisconsin and Texas. The state-specific poll results and the election hub are featured on Spectrum News’ digital platforms, including the Spectrum News App which is available to all Spectrum residential customers.

Decision 2020: The Election Hub includes information on local candidates and ballot questions, voting locations, and instructions on how to vote by mail. Spectrum also has partnered with BallotReady, a digital platform that provides background information and issue stances on federal, state and local candidates, as well as referendum on a voter’s ballot. Features will include registration status checks, election-related reminders, and ballot previews. Additionally, Spectrum’s local political journalists will deliver daily coverage and updates on relevant issues, providing all the context voters need leading up to Election Day.

Spectrum News Poll provides local and statewide insights on how voters feel about critical issues facing their communities including, education, the environment and climate change, local response to COVID – 19, and social justice. Spectrum’s political journalists in each market also will break down the local findings and provide analysis and insights of these issues on the local news networks and on the Spectrum News App throughout the election.

Spectrum News’ cross-platform election coverage is available on local news channels that span across the country in California, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin, and on the Spectrum News App, which combines reporting from existing newsrooms, original content by dedicated digital journalists, and curated content from partner news organizations.

The app also showcases the linear feeds of all Spectrum News networks, giving customers the ability to read, watch or listen anytime, anywhere, based on their geographic preferences.
