Local television meteorologist Becky Ditchfield wasn’t the only one to leave our airwaves recently. At her station, KUSA-9News, Ryan Haarer also left. And over at KDVR/KWGN, Natalie Tysdal and Sam Boik chose to end their time on TV for now.
Haarer is now working as a real estate agent at Keller Williams Integrity in Denver.
“I could not be more excited to announce that I have officially hung my real estate license with Keller Williams Integrity in Cherry Creek,” he wrote on Twitter in January. “9 NEWS has been such an important part of my life for the last six years, It’s certainly bittersweet. It’s been an honor to serve communities as a journalist for nearly a decade. I hope to continue that service in a new way and continue working with all of you wonderful people in 2021 and beyond!”

Tysdal, a staple of “Daybreak” on Channel 2, has worked in Denver for 20 years and says she will tell stories on YouTube while staying in the city.
“It’s a choice that people listen and watch us, and I just want to thank people for trusting us and watching us,” Tysdal said in her teary goodbye earlier this month. “My heart is so full for allowing me to be able to do this for so many years.”
Boik left Fox31 to become a mortgage loan originator at Pivot Lening Group. She had been featured on the morning show as a traffic anchor.
“For a long time, I managed to keep up with 2 a.m. wake-up calls and work 15-hour days, but the time came for me to make a natural transition,” Boik, a former Broncos cheerleader, wrote on Twitter.
