Tony Perkins Takes Over As Host Of WUSA’s ‘Get Up DC!’

Tegna’s CBS affiliate WUSA Washington, D.C., announced that Tony Perkins will be taking over as host of Get Up DC!, its morning show. Perkins has been a part of the Get Up DC! team for more than a year.

Comedian Reese Waters, who has been host of Get Up DC! for the last three years, will be featured on a new 7 p.m. show currently in development at the station.

Get Up DC! is anchored by fellow D.C. natives and long-time friends Annie Yu and Allison Seymour.

Get Up DC! will be hosted by Perkins beginning today, and airs weekdays starting at 4:25, with Perkins hosting beginning at 6 a.m. That hour will also feature new signature franchises, “It’s a DC Thing” and “Hear Me Out.”
