Top Techs Look To News Technology’s Future
Andrea Berry, CEO of The G.A.P. Media Group, will moderate the panel, “Top Technologists on the Bleeding Edge.”
The sixth annual NewsTECHForum, set for Dec. 10-11 at the New York Hilton, will bring together engineering, news and production leaders to discuss excellence in news storytelling and news workflow.
Berry’s “Top Technologists” panel will be presented on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The panelists will include: Tish Graham, VP of engineering at the Disney/ABC Television Group; Ray Thurber, chief technology officer of the E.W. Scripps Co.; Hank Hundemer, chief engineer, chief technology officer and chief digital officer at Tribune Media; and Michael Englehaupt, chief technology officer, Graham Media.
“The Top Techs panel is always a major highlight of the NewsTECHForum in that it brings together broadcast’s leading technologists for a wide-ranging and frank discussion of the industry’s most pressing issues,” said Harry A. Jessell, TVNewsCheck’s editor and co-founder. “With major dynamics like the cloud, ATSC 3.0 and artificial intelligence’s growing role looming over us, these discussions are even more urgent.”
The NewsTECHForum will gather engineers who are already implementing or working with these technologies in the newsroom to talk about their experiences. The event will provide an opportunity for engineering managers from networks and station groups to exchange information and to begin to chart their course forward.
