Tracy Clemons Named Morning Anchor At WGHP

Tracy Clemons has been named morning news anchor at WGHP, Tribune Broadcasting’s Fox affiliate in Greensboro/High Point/Winston-Salem (DMA 46).  Clemons joins Cindy Farmer, Brad Jones, Melissa Painter and Meteorologist Emily Byrd, weekday mornings from 4:30 to 10 a.m.

Clemons brings a wide range of journalism experience, having reported and anchored in multiple markets, most recently at KTRK in Houston, Texas.  Prior to his arrival at WGHP, Clemons was spokesperson for the Houston Independent School District.

A native Virginian, Clemons is a University of Virginia graduate and earned his master’s degree in broadcast journalism at the University of Maryland College Park.  He’s a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Clemons’ first day on air will be Monday, July 9.
