Tyrah Majors Joins KOMO News Morning Team

Sinclair Broadcast Group’s ABC affiliate KOMO Seattle has hired Tyrah Majors as the latest member of its morning news team. She starts Dec. 28 as traffic anchor/reporter.

Majors will anchor morning traffic segments on air, online and on social in addition to reporting for KOMO News at 11 a.m. She joins KOMO News morning team members Ryan Yamamoto, Kelly Koopmans and Meteorologist Kristin Clark.

Majors comes to KOMO from Sinclair’s KBAK Bakersfield, Calif., where is a reporter-anchor for its multiplatform morning newscast.

She has a Master of Science in journalism from the University of Southern California along with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Cal State Fullerton.

In addition to reporting and anchoring, Majors has also written a children’s book called Grammy and Me.
