Vince Lennon Named WSWG-WSST News Director

The 30-year broadcast news veteran is tapped by Marquee Broadcasting to oversee news operations at its Albany, Ga., duopoly.

Marquee Broadcasting has hired Vince Lennon as news director of its duopoly of WSWG (CBS)-WSST (MNT) Albany, Ga.

With more than 30 years in radio and TV, Lennon has had a broad range of experience ranging from a producer for CNN and executive producer for WGXA Macon, Ga., to being a reporter, anchor, and sports director at various stations in Dallas; Knoxville, Tenn.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Montgomery, Ala.; and Beckley, W.Va.

He joins a growing team that is expanding the news department. Patricia Lane, Marquee’s CEO. “We are excited to have Vince be a part of our South Georgia TV team. With his experience, we expect to produce a new and engaging choice for our viewers, giving them the local news they want.”

Marquee Broadcasting Georgia also owns and operates the Me-TV affiliates in Atlanta and Macon.
