For those looking to have their questions answered about the coronavirus, WFTV-Channel 9 will air a primetime special at 8 p.m. March 5.

During the live, one-hour program titled “Coronavirus: Your Questions Answered” and hosted by anchors Greg Warmoth and Martha Sugalski, local government and health officials will provide updates on plans to protect travelers coming to and from Orlando; explain best practices for travel; and discuss what to expect should Central Florida experience an outbreak.

“The overall goal of the show is to calm fears and dispel myths associated with the virus, but also to provide the best possible information for our audiences to use to protect themselves and their families,” according to a press release.

Those officials include Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, Orange County School Board Chairwoman Teresa Jacobs, Orange County Director of Health Services Dr. Yolanda Martinez, Advent Health Centra Care Medical Director Dr. Timothy Hendrix, Orlando Health infectious disease expert Dr. Asim Jani and CEO of Orlando International Airport and Greater Orlando Aviation Authority Phil Brown.

Viewers can submit questions that will be addressed by local government and health officials through social media to WFTV. They can also call in live at 844-220-0965.

The special will broadcast on News 96.5 WDBO. It can also be viewed on wftv.com or through the WFTV app for Roku, Amazon and Apple TV users.
