WHBQ Names Adam Henning News Director

Cox Media Group Fox affiliate WHBQ Memphis (DMA 51) has appointed Adam Henning news director, effective June 3.

Henning brings nearly 20 years of noteworthy experience to this new role. He will lead the strategic and tactical direction of daily and breaking news, as well as special and investigative reports, and special event coverage to help grow audience ratings and digital products.

Henning joins WHBQ from WPEC West Palm Beach, Fla., where he was news director since 2016. He began his career with WCJB Gainesville, Fla., and has led news teams at WWAY Wilmington, N.C.; WNCT Greenville, N.C.; and WAFF Huntsville, Ala.
