WKOW Ups Dani Maxwell To Content Manager

WKOW Madison, Wis., Wake Up Wisconsin Anchor Dani Maxwell has been promoted to content manager for the Quincy Media-owned ABC affiliate’s newsroom. She will be working with News Director Ed Reams.
Maxwell takes over this senior newsroom management position that will allow her to help guide overall direction and coverage decisions of the newsroom. Maxwell has been with WKOW since January of 2012, but she has been with Quincy Media, WKOW’s parent company, since December of 2001. Maxwell was an evening anchor and Content Manager with WREX Rockford, Ill., before joining WKOW.

Maxwell’s promotion means she will transition off of the Wake Up Wisconsin morning show, although she will still produce special coverage for the morning program. Because of this transition, WKOW also announces weekend morning anchor Nick Buffo will take over weekday duties alongside Rebecca Ribley on a permanent basis beginning July 16.

Buffo has been with WKOW for more than two years and has spent the last year as part of the state-wide broadcast Wake Up Wisconsin Weekend.

Buffo is a 2016 graduate of DePaul University in Chicago.
