WLKY Louisville Expands Coverage With 9 A.M. Newscast

Hearst-owned CBS affiliate WLKY Louisville will add one hour of local news to its morning lineup at 9 a.m. on Sept. 7. Viewers can now stay informed from 4:30 to 10 a.m. with local and national coverage featuring WLKY Morning News and CBS This Morning.

WLKY News at 9 A.M. will feature familiar faces — with morning anchors Julie Dolan and Caray Grace taking the lead from the news desk, veteran morning meteorologist Matt Milosevich and WLKY morning regulars Susanne Horgan and Mo Rose. WLKY’s Alex Durham will provide news of interesting people and events in the community.

“This is an opportunity for WLKY to expand our commitment to providing urgent, live, local, late breaking information,” said WLKY President-General Manager Glenn Haygood. “As the demand for local news and information has increased recently, we are excited to provide another hour of morning news at 9 a.m.”

WLKY News Director Andrea Stahlman said: “This time of the morning is a strong opportunity for us to keep our viewers even better informed. I’m excited for a new group of viewers to get know our morning team. They really enjoy working together and take a lot of pride in serving this community. This gives us the chance to be in position when news breaks, and also spend more time connecting with our viewers.”

Afternoon programming on WLKY will change with the addition of Ellen at 3 p.m The 19th and final season will launch this fall on Sept. 13.
