WPBF To Debut 4 P.M. Newscast On July 18

Hearst Television’s ABC affiliate WPBF West Palm Beach, Fla., will launch WPBF 25 News at 4:00 p.m. on July 18.  The new hour-long weekday afternoon newscast will be co-anchored by Tiffany Kenney and Shayne Wright. They will be joined by WPBF meteorologists Cris Martinez and Glenn Glazer.

WPBF 25 News at 4:00 p.m. will have “a distinct focus on breaking news with immediate coverage of stories and events happening in neighborhoods across the Palm Beaches and the Treasure Coast,” the station says.

WPBF President and General Manager Caroline Taplett said: “More and more viewers are wanting trusted news, weather, and traffic information earlier in the day. We see a great opportunity at 4 p.m. to deliver even more breaking local, state, and national news stories that impact families in our local communities every single day.”

Starting July 18, the final season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show will move to 3 p.m., while The Good Dish will move to its new time period at 1:05 a.m.

As the final season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show comes to a close, it will be replaced by The Jennifer Hudson Show which premieres Sept. 12 at 3 p.m. on WPBF.
