DMA 50: NEW ORLEANS

WVUE’s ‘Morning Edition’ Expands To Weekends

Gray Television’s Fox affiliate WVUE New Orleans (DMA 50) said today it’s expanding its morning news program, Fox 8 Morning Edition, to weekend mornings.

The two-hour show will air on both Saturday and Sunday mornings, debuting on Saturday, July 6, at 6 a.m. Sunday’s will see Fox News Sunday move to 8 a.m.

WVUE reporter Josh Roberson will anchor both broadcasts. Roberson worked as a reporter in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and in his hometown of Shreveport, La., before joining WVIE in 2018. Alongside Roberson on the broadcast is Meteorologist Zack Fradella. A Harvey, La., native, Fradella joins WVUE as the station’s fifth meteorologist. Fradella has experience covering Louisiana weather having spent time at KPLC Lake Charles.

“This is the next logical step for Fox 8. Frankly, it is overdue”, said VP-GM Tim Ingram. “It is our duty to provide our viewers with quality news and information they need and deserve, seven mornings a week, not just five. We’ve wanted to do this for some time. Now we are going to make it happen.”
