WYFF Names Marc Whiteman Sports Director

Hearst-owned NBC affiliate WYFF Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C. (DMA 38), has added Marc Whiteman as sports director.

He will join Carol Clarke and Michael Cogdill on the anchor desk weeknights at 6 and 11 p.m. He will also anchor high school football coverage every week this fall at 11 p.m. on Friday Night Hits.

Whiteman comes to WYFF from WATE Knoxville, Tenn., where he served for nearly four years as weekend sports anchor and reporter.

Current sports director Brad Fralick is leaving the role after eight years. He will remain with WYFF, moving to the sales department as an account executive.

“We want to thank Brad for doing an excellent job leading our sports team,” said WYFF President-GM John Humphries. “In his time here, he produced award-winning sports specials and traveled around the country to cover the Clemson Tigers’ Road to the Title twice. We’re thrilled Brad is keeping his talents here at WYFF 4 in our sales department.”
