Corporate Communications Changes At Univision

Univision today named Beatriz Pedrosa-Guanche senior vice president, corporate communications based in Miami.

“We are excited to welcome Beatriz into the Univision team,” said Pierluigi Gazzolo, president and chief transformation officer of Univision. “Beatriz is a global communications leader with more than two decades of marketing and communications experience that will help support our ongoing transformation and long-term objectives by leading the corporate communications team at this critical juncture.”

Pedrosa-Guanche brings more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and communications having served in several senior positions at Apple Inc., Burson-Marsteller, Brazil Telecom of America and Verso Technologies. Pedrosa-Guanche will help lead Univision’s corporate, financial and internal communications and handle its media, government and community relations efforts.

She holds a Master of International Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and is trilingual in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Separately, the company announced that after 15 years with Univision, Rosemary Mercedes has resigned as chief communications officer and leave the company later this month.

Throughout her tenure with Univision, Rosemary has played an important role in raising the profile of the Univision brand and the Hispanic consumer opportunity in the marketplace. Rosemary Mercedes is recognized for having successfully communicated multiple large transformations, including the majority stake acquisition by Searchlight Capital Partners, ForgeLight LLC and Grupo Televisa S.A.B and Univision’s recent leadership transition. She was awarded a Gracies Leadership Award by the Alliance for Women in Media and named “Pioneer of the Year” by the Hispanic Public Relations Association.
