Megaphone TV Elevates Jamie MacDonald To EVP

Viewer engagement platform provider Megaphone TV has promoted Jamie MacDonald to executive vice president, broadcast solutions. He will continue to lead global sales and business development efforts in addition to expanding roles of marketing, partnerships, and strategy.

Megaphone said that in his former position as vice president at, MacDonald “was instrumental in positioning Megaphone as the premier interactive audience engagement platform for broadcasters around the world.” With this promotion, he will increase his leadership roles by expanding revenue opportunities in new and existing markets and preparing the upcoming launch of Megaphone’s new StreamClick division.

“Jamie has consistently produced at a high level, outperformed every sales and business target, and delivered immediate results for our team at Megaphone and our valued clients. We’re excited to expand his leadership roles with this EVP promotion”, says Dan Albritton, CEO and founder of Megaphone TV.

Prior to Megaphone, MacDonald was the director of sales for MGM Television’s East Coast and Midwest sales regions, vice president of sales at Litton Entertainment (now a division of Hearst), and regional sales manager at PPI Releasing. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.

Megaphone’s StreamClick division will officially release StreamClick 2.0 in the upcoming months. StreamClick is a remote-production tool for creating and hosting television shows, interactive live streams, virtual audiences/fan walls, and live events. The StreamClick 2.0 release is a ground-up rewrite headlined by 1080p HD local video recordings which do not rely on a user’s internet signal strength. The target StreamClick 2.0 release date is early Summer 2021.

“I’ve never been in a product demonstration where a client’s jaw literally hits the floor with enthusiasm. This has been a common reaction to StreamClick 2.0 while in private beta mode. The Megaphone developers have another hit on their hands,” MacDonald said.

StreamClick 2.0 is currently in private beta testing and available through invitation-only.

In addition, Megaphone is announcing the expansion of its global footprint in Europe and Asia. New broadcast partners include Eurosport, Discovery+, India TV, and ABS-CBN. These broadcasters plan to utilize the Megaphone platform to increase audience engagement and build interactive sponsorship campaigns including sports betting.
