The Colorado Broadcasters Association has hired Luke Story as vice president, member services. The group said that with a career in both broadcasting and state broadcast association leadership, “Luke brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion for the industry to this pivotal role.”
Story will identify new benefits and services for CBA members, provide an added voice to the CBA’s advocacy work, while working closely with President-CEO Justin Sasso and the CBA’s board of directors on long-term goals for the association and the broadcast industry.
Sasso said: “The CBA’s multifaceted mission includes growing the association to better serve our members, streamlining operations and productivity. Luke’s contributions will help achieve these goals exponentially, while providing our members with robust leadership to the benefit of all Colorado broadcasters. I’ve known Luke, personally and professionally, for several years and have admired his passion and accomplishments for the industry. I could not be more excited to welcome Luke to Colorado. I truly look forward to working alongside him as we continue the growth of Colorado’s broadcast industry.”
Story began his broadcasting career as a news and sports reporter in Georgia, where he worked at WSB-TV Atlanta, WNEG Toccoa, WCON Cornelia and WDUN Gainesville. He also spent time at Georgia Public Radio.
Story’s association history includes serving as the director of communications for the Georgia Association of Broadcasters, and most recently, CEO of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association. He has served on multiple National State Broadcast Association industry committees, including the Emergency Alert System Committee.
