WOI announced today in a station press release that Joseph Holloway is joining Good Morning Iowa as anchor and executive producer.
“He brings more than a decade of experience in local broadcast news, from reporting and anchoring in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Raleigh, North Carolina,” the release said. “A sports fan, Holloway has also worked freelance in sports journalism for ESPN, CBS and Cox Sports Television.”
Holloway is described by the station as having a passion for informing the community he serves. People have a right to know what’s going on in their neighborhoods,” Holloway said. “I’m passionate about making sure they know the whole story so they can make their own decisions.”
“We’re excited to have Joseph join our team,” said WOI news director Perry Pace. “With his extensive experience, he’s the perfect fit as both an anchor and a leader for ‘Good Morning Iowa.’ I’m confident that his calm, thoughtful, and energetic style will inspire our team and connect with our viewers.”
A Carlisle resident, Holloway lives with his wife, Kylee, and their dogs, Georgia and Magnolia. Per the release, he loves working out, watching sports, playing tennis and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
August 19 will Holloway’s first day as part of the team at Good Morning Iowa.
