WXOW LaCrosse, WI, adds VCI automation

WXOW LaCrosse, Wis., an ABC affiliate owned by Quincy Newspapers, has successfully implemented VCI’s autoXe automation system.

Jarrett Liddicoat, the station’s chief engineer, said, “autoXe offers more functionality and is easy to use, handling multiple channels seamlessly. The features of the autoXe system offer complete organization. Content Manager alone cleaned up the inventory and storage and filed it accordingly, allowing us to run a more efficient operation. We are very ecstatic about the system and the benefits it has afforded us.”

John Buszinski, professional sales, service and support, VCI Automation, commented: “In the case of WXOW, we were only on-site a total of six days before the autoXe system was up and running, without one single hiccup. It is a win-win for everybody, and we’re all happy.”

VCI Automation, a division of VCI Solutions and a supplier of smart-media revenue solutions for the broadcast and cable industry, introduced autoXe earlier this year as a fully automated system from ingest to play-out. The autoXe system operates as a service-oriented architecture with its underlying Xe platform.
