ROBERTS BROTHERS BUY WAZE EVANSVILLE, IN
Roberts Broadcasting is purchasing WAZE, the CW affiliate serving Evansville, Ind. (DMA 101), from South Central Communications Corp, it was announced today.
South Central, headed by John Engelbrecht and J.P. Engelbrecht, also owns radio stations in Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky and an independent, digital-only TV station in Knoxville, Tenn., WMAK-DT
Roberts Broadcasting, founded in 1989 by Steven and Michael Roberts, also owns WZRB Columbia, S.C.; WRBJ Jackson, Miss.; and WRBU St. Louis.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Kalil & Co. brokered the deal.
