KTBC Austin, TX, adds Lori Ana Hernandez as anchor

Lori Ana Hernandez has been named co-anchor of Fox O&O KTBC Austin, Texas’ 5 and 9 p.m. newscasts, effective Jan. 8, 2006.

Hernandez joins KTBC from KXAS Dallas, where she anchored the station’s weekend morning news program. Prior to this, she spent five-and-a-half years as a reporter and anchor with KSEE Fresno, Calif.  While with KSEE, she covered a number of high-profile stories, including the Elian Gonzalez and Laci Peterson investigations.

Earlier in her career, Hernandez was an anchor for CNN Headline News and CNN Airport Network.  She began her career in 1993 as an assignment producer at CNN En Espanol and CNN Headline News. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia.
