WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

‘Family Feud’ Knocks ‘Jeopardy’ Out Of First Among Games

In the week ending July 24, Family Feud inched up 2% to a 5.2 and edged ahead of Jeopardy’s flat 5.1 for game show superiority.

The top three talkers were the category’s only upward movers in the mid-summer session ending July 24. The strongest performers were Dr. Phil — spiking 7% to a five-week high 1.5 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating — to hold on to a first-place tie with demo leader Live with Kelly and Ryan, which likewise rallied 7% to a 1.5.

Also joining the rising ratings party was Kelly Clarkson, which claimed sole possession of the No. 3 spot with a 14% surge to a three-week high 0.8.

Syndication’s two highest courts gaveled in with gains as Judge Judy jumped 2% to a 4.4 and Hot Bench boasted an 8% advance to a 1.3.

In access time period news, Family Feud inched up 2% to a 5.2 and edged ahead of Jeopardy’s flat 5.1 for game show superiority.

Meanwhile magazine shows were led by Inside Edition, which was up 5% to a 2.1, and Entertainment Tonight, which strengthened 6% to a 1.9.

Jeopardy! is done with their season so this is always expected (plus FF just airs at more times and you never know what the new episode actually is unless you search it out in the listings).
