Alfred R. Berkeley III Joins MPT Foundation Board Of Directors

The MPT Foundation has appointed Alfred R. Berkeley III to its volunteer board of directors.

The MPT Foundation is the 501(c) (3) fundraising affiliate of Maryland Public Television. It comprises approximately two dozen members drawn from Maryland business, civic and cultural communities to assist MPT in securing private contributions and foundation grants.

Berkeley is chairman of Princeton Capital Management and Noxilizer Inc. and vice chairman of Gentag Inc. He is a director of Realpage Inc. and Business Executives for National Security, and a member of the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Board of Visitors. He also is a trustee of Allen University, a historically black university.

He currently is an adviser to Cyber Reliant, Security ScoreCard, VIBE CyberSecurity International, AgilePQ Inc., Chesapeake Outward Bound School, XBRL US and Health Benefits App.

Berkeley previously served as president and then vice-chairman of the Nasdaq Stock Market and was chairman of Pipeline Financial Group. He was a trustee of Johns Hopkins University and a board member of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. He also was a director of the World Economic Forum USA and The Nature Conservancy.

He served as vice chair of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council for President Bush and President Obama.

Berkeley earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
