Allen Media Group’s HBCU Go — AMG’s free-streaming digital platform and the leading media provider for the nation’s 107 Historically Black Colleges and Universities — will launch its 2024 college football season with the 2024 HBCU Go Sports Kickoff Show Presented by Procter & Gamble.
Back for its third year, this three-hour special offers fans an exclusive look at everything they need to know about HBCU football including insight about the nation’s HBCU conferences, thought-provoking analysis of the competition on the field, plus player profiles, game highlights, and exclusive interviews and more.
Led by legendary HBCU sports play-by-play analyst Charlie Neal, the show will air Saturday, Aug. 24, from noon to 3 p.m. ET.
Featured segments will include:
- Insider looks at all four HBCU football conferences: the SWAC, MEAC, CIAA and SIAC.
- 2024 Schedule reveals and analysis.
- A look at the college football transfer portal and its impact on HBCU Football.
- In-depth profile with former NFL player and HBCU Go on-air broadcaster Antoine Bethea following his induction into the Black College Football Hall of Fame.
- Sights and sounds of HBCU life with a feature on HBCU marching bands including a special performance by the Jackson State Marching Band, “The Sonic Boom.”
This year, viewers can watch HBCU Go in a variety of ways — TV stations in major markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Memphis, Detroit, Sacramento, Miami, Tampa and Pittsburgh — and nationally on TheGrio Television Network.
Select games will also air across various digital platforms including HBCU Go’s mobile app and FAST channel that is available on AMG’s free-streaming platforms, theGrio Gold and Local Now.
