Cindy Olsen Named Endemol Marketing VP

Endemol Shine North America today named veteran TV and film executive Cindy Olsen its new vice president, marketing.

Olsen, who was most recently director of creative and account management at Universal Pictures, has more than 20 years of brand and marketing experience in television, including roles with ABC, Bravo, NBC, Fox and Buena Vista Television.

She will oversee all day-to-day marketing operations for Endemol Shine North America, the production company behind series including Big Brother, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Below Deck, Trading Spaces, MasterChef, MasterChef Latino, “Page Six TV, Mira Quien Baila and upcoming Family Food Fight at ABC, Masked Singer at Fox and Deal or No Deal at CNBC.

For the last four years, Olsen has been director of creative and account management at Universal Pictures, where she led global and regional partner marketing, media and licensed campaigns for the studio’s theatrical releases in the U.S., Canada and EMEA. While at Universal, Olsen worked with brands including McDonald’s, Nutella, General Mills and executed 360-integrated advertising campaigns tied to many of Universal’s top films.

Prior to her time at Universal Pictures, Olsen worked for NBC Entertainment’s Network Partnerships team, creating custom cross-platform content tied to NBC primetime programs.

Before that, she was director, strategic marketing partnerships at ABC Entertainment, where she oversaw brand tie-ins, consumer marketing, as well as, advertiser, distribution and promotional partnerships.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Olsen’s other roles include director of consumer marketing at Bravo, where she spearheaded consumer marketing efforts for the series launch of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and director of network distribution for Fox Television Network.

Olsen got her start working in affiliate relations for Buena Vista Television and ABC.
