‘Dr. Phil’ Has The Rx For Syndi Health

Dr. Phil continued to operate at nosebleed levels in the session ending Jan. 16, hitting a new season high 2.0 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating, and leading the talk shows for a second straight week. That marked the good doctor’s strongest showing in 47 weeks, and represented a 33% increase over the previous three weeks.

Live with Kelly and Ryan also rallied, rumbling to a solid 6% improvement with a second-place 1.7.

In access time periods, Jeopardy surprisingly lost some of its ratings steam, slipping 2% to a 6.5 even though current champ Amy Schneider extended her winning streak and by now has won the second most consecutive games in the show’s history.

However, Jeopardy was still far ahead of No. 2 game show Family Feud, which inched up 2% to a new season high 6.0, and third-place Wheel of Fortune, which slowed down 2% to a 5.9.

Back in daytime, Judge Judy continued to defy gravity, preserving its season high 5.4 and crushing the court shows for the 1,321^st week in a row.

The top talk shows for the week among women 25-54 were:

• Dr. Phil (0.7, unchanged from the week before), tied with Live with Kelly and Ryan (0.7, +17%)
• Ellen DeGeneres (0.4, unchanged), tied with Kelly Clarkson (0.4, unchanged) and Maury (0.4, unchanged)
