WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

‘ET,’ ‘Access Hollywood’ Among Few Syndie Stars

Entertainment Tonight grew 4% for the week ending May 10 and 8% for the past two weeks to a three-week high 2.8 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating, tying sister show Inside Edition for the category lead. Next in line, Access Hollywood, was also a force, surging 8% for the week and 18% for the past two weeks to an eight-week high 1.3.

Two of the top three magazines made significant ratings moves in an otherwise sluggish session ending May 10, which was marked by declining PUT levels and day-after-day preemptions for news coverage of the coronavirus pandemic.

Entertainment Tonight grew 4% for the week and 8% for the past two weeks to a three-week high 2.8 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating, tying sister show Inside Edition for the category lead.

Next in line, Access Hollywood, was also a force, surging 8% for the week and 18% for the past two weeks to an eight-week high 1.3.

On the other hand, the top three game shows in access all lost ground.

Meanwhile, in daytime, gains were few and far between. Live with Kelly and Ryan rolled to its seventh straight first-place finish in the talk show race and did well to hold steady at a 2.1.

Dr. Phil, the top talker season to date in the household ratings, had the distinction of being the only show in the category able to move up, climbing 5% to a strong second-place 2.0.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Courtroom force majeure Judge Judy, the overall top-rated syndicated show of the season so far, was the daytime leader by a huge margin with a 3% spike to a three-week high 6.4.
