WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

‘Family Feud’ Fights Its Way Back To First Among Games

It overtakes Jeopardy in the syndication ratings for the week ending June 5 that included Memorial Day.

After nine straight weeks as the No. 1 show in syndication, Jeopardy finally came up with a wrong answer and skidded 8% to a second-place 4.8 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating in the session that began with Memorial Day and ended June 5. That put it behind Family Feud, which took over the top spot by falling only a more modest 2% to a 4.9.

Entertainment Tonight, the only magazine moving up from last year at this time, took over sole possession of first place in the category with a solid 2.0 and more than 3 million daily viewers. Inside Edition slipped to second, fading 5% to a 1.9.

In daytime action, Live with Kelly and Ryan relinquished 6% to a 1.5, but remained the biggest talker for the second week in a row. Dr. Phil, which was in reruns on four of the five days, did well to dip only 7% to a 1.4.

Ellen DeGeneres tumbled 46% to a new season low 0.7 after going out of original production.

Back on the positive side, even with encore episodes the recently renewed Drew Barrymore held all of its ground at a 0.5 and was the only talker in the top 10 to outperform its year-ago rating by double digits, picking up 25% from the same week in 2021.

The top talk shows for the week among women 25-54 were:
