Get ready for a lot more Joe Buck.
The World Series will air on Fox for the next 10 years, the network announced Monday at its annual upfront presentation.
Alongside Alex Rodriguez, postseason regular Joe Buck announced the news to press and advertisers inside the Beacon Theatre.
Citing last year’s ratings, Buck bragged that the World Series would beat “The Big Bang Theory,” “This Is Us” and “Game of Thrones.”
“And with fewer continuity errors,” he joked.
Last year’s five-game series between the Red Sox and the Dodgers saw almost a 23% dropoff in viewers on average, making it the least watched since the 2014 Fall Classic between the Giants and the Royals.
Game 5, predictably, was the most watched, holding the attention of 17.6 million viewers on the 5-1 Red Sox clinching victory.
Fox did not reveal the World Series broadcasting team, which last year included Buck, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci. Rolando Nichols, Carlos Álvarez and Edgar Gonzalez led the Fox Deportes broadcast.
For what it’s worth, Buck also predicted a Cubs-Yankees World Series this year.
