WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

‘Jeopardy’ Tops Game Shows And All Of Syndication

It wins the week ending May 15 despite dipping 10% from the previous session.

Jeopardy ratings slid 10% to a seven-week low 5.2 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating in the session ending May 15, which was the first week following the stunning defeat of super-contestant Mattea Roach who lost by a single dollar. Roach had racked up 23 consecutive wins while amassing just over $560,000. But Jeopardy still led the game shows — and all of syndication — for a seventh straight week.

Family Feud fell 4% to a second-place 5.1, while Wheel of Fortune eroded 8% to a 4.6.

On the positive side, Dr. Phil held its ground at a 1.6 and took over sole possession of first place in the talk show race, breaking three weeks of ties with Live with Kelly and Ryan, which relinquished 6% to a 1.5.

Of note, the soon-to-be heavily upgraded Kelly Clarkson had the best year-to-year improvement of any talker in the top 10 with a 13% increase to a 0.9, which put it at No. 3 in the hotly contested category.

Elsewhere, Entertainment Tonight remained No. 1 among magazines for a second straight week, staying tied with sister show Inside Edition despite both dipping 5% to a 2.1.

The top talk shows for the week among women 25-54 were:
