KAPP-KVEW Yakima Adds New Subchannels

Morgan Murphy said today that its ABC affiliates KAPP-KVEW Yakima, Wash. (DMA 118) are adding three more television services to its lineup, for a total of 5 broadcast streams each on channels 35 and 42. The new services are H&I Network, on channels 35.3 and 42.3, Start TV, on channels 35.4 and 42.4, and DABL on channels 35.5 and 42.5.

They will continue to air ABC network programs, plus local news and information, on channels 35.1 and 42.1, while channels 35.2 and 42.2 will continue to be home to MeTV.

“We’re excited to offer our viewers these three additional free channels,” said Brian Paul Lubanski, vice president and general manager, KAPP-KVEW. “These are some of the shows we get requests to see over and over again.”

The new channels are available for free to viewers with antennas. Some viewers may need to rescan their TV set tuners in order to receive them.
