KGW Portland To Premiere Community-Focused Lifestyle Show

Beginning next week, Tegna NBC affiliate KGW Portland, Ore., is launching a new lifestyle show called Hello, Rose City! Hosted by Lacey Evans and created by Executive Producer Ellen Boynton, Hello, Rose City! debutes Monday, Sept. 26, and will air live from the Rose Studio at KGW, Monday through Thursday at 11 a.m., with best-of shows on Friday. It may also be seen anytime on KGW8+ streaming on Roku and Amazon  FireTV.

Each 30-minute episode showcases trendsetters, changemakers, local celebrities, and health and lifestyle experts as well as the area’s biggest happenings, products, businesses, and more. According to the station, “Every show brings valuable, useful information and leaves the people of Oregon and Southwest Washington feeling smarter and more connected to their community. It also allows guests to share their passion, grow their brand message, and personally connect with the audience.”

“We’re looking for guests who reflect the entire community on a wide range of topics,” Boynton said. “Gardening, health, fitness, wellness, food/restaurants, travel, events, music, arts, home decorating— whatever you’re doing, we’d love to hear about it!”

An Oregon native, Evans is the host and producer of Hello, Rose City! She previously worked at KGW as a fill-in traffic and weather anchor on KGW News at Sunrise and has spent nearly 20 years working in Portland and Seattle. She started her career as the overnight news anchor for KXL-FM radio, eventually moving on to host that station’s Portland’s Afternoon News. She’s also worked at KEX, KOIN and KIRO Radio in Seattle.

Evans is also the fill-in host for The Newsworthy, a national, daily news podcast.
