WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

‘Live With Kelly And Ryan’ Tops Talkers

The morning mainstay led the yak pack in the week ending Dec. 20, racing ahead 11% to a 2.1, its highest Nielsen number since early May.

Three of the year’s hottest talk shows — Live with Kelly and Ryan, Tamron Hall and Kelly Clarkson — all lit up the Nielsen chart and were the only syndicated offerings to unwrap new season highs in the week before Christmas session ending Dec. 20.

Rising sophomore stat Hall shot up 11% from the prior frame to a 1.0 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen, its best rating of the current television year, and for the first time tied veteran gabfest Ellen DeGeneres at the No. 4 spot among the 14 talkers. Ellen was off 9% to a 1.0.

Just ahead of Hall was fellow sophomore hit Kelly Clarkson, which climbed to sole possession of third place with a 9% advance to a new season record 1.2, defeating Ellen by 20%.

Not to be outdone, morning mainstay Live with Kelly and Ryan led the yak pack, racing ahead 11% to a 2.1, its highest Nielsen number since early May.

Dr. Phil was a solid second with a steady 1.9.

Judge Judy blew away all competition, jumping 2% to a stellar 5.7 and ruling the court shows for the 1,265th straight week. Judy was also rated as syndication’s No. 1 show overall in households for the 14th time in the past 18 weeks.
