In the latest TV ratings, Fox’s broadcast of Sunday night’s NFL divisional playoff game between the Bucs and Saints averaged 29.3 million total viewers and an 8.1 demo rating.
Leading out of that postgame, the freshman comedy The Great North delivered north of eight million total viewers and a 2.6 demo rating. A special installment of Family Guy followed with its largest audience in two years (3.3 mil) and its best demo number since October 2019 (1.1).
Elsewhere:
THE CW | The new Batwoman drew 663,000 viewers and a 0.1 rating, down from both its Season 1 averages (995K/0.26) and its freshman finale (740K/0.2), marking its third smallest audience to date and matching its demo low (which was reached about a year ago). TVLine readers gave the series’ soft reboot an average grade of “C+”; read post mortem.
CBS | NCIS: Los Angeles (5.4 mil/0.6, read recap) dipped from last week, while New Orleans (4.9 mil/0.5) was steady.
ABC | The Rookie (3.6 mil/0.4) hit a series low in the demo.
The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. Warning: Contents may be hot!

Sad for Batwoman, it should have done better. Sadly I feel this is the year that all CW shows will be at .1 and sadly maybe .0 demos
Don’t jump to conclusions. “All American” airs tonight & may get better results. And bear in mind a lot more people are watching these shows via streaming.. So all may not be lost
I really hope All American returns to be the greater rated cw show
0.4 !
Outstanding numbers
The playoff game likely siphoned some viewers. The episode is also scheduled for encore tonight after All American and may draw as many viewers again tonight.
OMG PATRIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh wait, wrong team. But Brady still the GOAT.
While, it is disappointing about “Batwoman”s liner ratings, it’s streaming numbers might be better. “All American” which airs tonight may yield better results.
I’m not surprise about Batwoman. Fans of season 1 wanted to see the continuation of Kate and Alice. Since the season premiere had this much loss in ratings, I’m sure it’ll get worst as the season goes on. Don’t worry though fans! Unless Batwoman costs a lot to produce, it’ll live on like Dynasty. The CW doesn’t cancel anything.
They will start cancelling when their Netflix deal is over…. or even worse, ship them over to Hbo Max to face a humiliating death like that Riverdale spinoff.
I can guarantee you that the drop in ratings is much more due to airing against an NFL playoff game than the lack of Ruby Rose.
I never said anything about Ruby Rose. I said the story of Kate and Alice. Anyone can play Kate. We’ll see if it was NFL because Batwoman aired last night. If ratings are bad, it’s most likely because they dropped the story of season 1. Season 1 is a complete waste of time now.
Actually they’ve already announced that Supergirl and Black Lightning are getting canceled, and rumor is Legends of Tomorrow is soon to follow. If the ratings continue to go down for Batwoman (they rarely go up after a season premiere), it’ll probably follow at the end of the season. And when the contracts come up at Flash in a couple of years, that’s probably gone too.
I feel like a lot of these ratings, though not gigantically, will change when football is over. Half my friends watch the rookie or cw hero shows like batwoman and were all watching football and just drunk or not watching tv after other than post game coverage. Sunday ratings til post super bowl are all kinds of irrelevant to talk about hitting so many “lows.” Feb will be the real test, and I think networks know that too. I was guilty of the same. In the age of streaming especially, no network show can compare to live sports
Who wants to watch the nfl? Bunch of woke overpaid whiners.
If I want to see a bunch of girls at a political rally I will turn on msnbc.
And I am not alone. Millions of us have turned our backs on the America-hating league.
I don’t think my eyes could roll any further
Hahahahahaha, you tried to cxl the NFL and you FAILED. 🤡
They are rerunning “Batwoman” tonight after the Season Premiere of “All-American.”
I’ve never understood ratings that are based on lead-ins. All they say to me is that viewers didn’t change channel for some unknown reason. So its more like a rejection of competing shows on other channels rather than any form of deliberate viewing.
The racist incels will rejoice over Batwoman’s ratings.
I don’t care for it but I feel bad for the actress.
Of course if people don’t like the stupid plotline they must be a racist.
Takes one to know one right Marky Poo
I don’t think Batwoman is going to do well the the actress/character.
