‘Personal Injury Court’ To Premiere Sept. 16

The new syndicated show from Orion Television debuts with former judge and trial lawyer Gino Brogdon presiding. Also, season seven of Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court and season three of Couples Court with The Cutlers launch.

Orion Television, a subsidiary of Metro Goldwyn Mayer Inc., will launch Personal Injury Court led by Judge Gino Brogdon on Sept. 16, along with the seventh season of Emmy Award-winning Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court and the third season of two-time Emmy Award-nominated Couples Court with The Cutlers. All shows are created and executive produced by David Armour.

Personal Injury Court uses videos, testimony, accident recreation and eye-witness accounts to determine who is responsible for the injuries presented in each case. Judge Gino Brogdon presides over these highly-charged cases alleging personal harm.

Gino Brogdon earned his legal stripes as a trial lawyer in a number of large, respected law firms in Atlanta prosecuting and defending complex civil matters across the country. He served nearly 10 years on the busiest trial bench in the Southeast Atlanta’s own Fulton County.

Brogdon was appointed to the bench at 34 years old and spent nearly 10 years presiding over civil cases worth billions of dollars including gun litigation, wrongful death, high stakes and complex business and construction disputes, product liability, catastrophic injury, premises liability, class action, aviation, insurance and contract disputes.

“I love this show because the cases have some of the largest claims in TV history. Personal Injury Courtis like a game show meets a court show … with stakes, drama, theatrics of ripped from the headlines true stories.” says Barry Poznick, president of unscripted television for Metro Goldwyn Mayer.

The seventh season of Daytime Emmy Award-winning Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court will continue to uncover paternity results using DNA testing, while Judge Lauren Lake guides litigants through life-changing circumstances and the emotional results. Lake’s courtroom has helped reunite more than 750 families through DNA testing and heartfelt, no-nonsense advice from her years of experience in family law. As with previous seasons, litigants will have access to post-show counseling and guidance off-camera to help navigate them through these discoveries.
