Raycom Launching ‘Me Time With Frangela’

Raycom Media and Kids at Play have a new show venture — Me Time with Frangela — premiering this fall in all Raycom Media markets. The new series is the latest entry in Raycom’s strategic initiative to develop its own original multiplatform content.

Frances Callier and Angela V. Shelton headlines an interactive 30-minute talk show exploring and debating the headlines, topics and characters of the day. “If the audience is texting, talking or tweeting about it, Me Time will be featuring it,” Raycom said.

The show will feature expert interviews, video chats with guests and viewers, plus Frangela’s unbridled opinions and friendly debates on a wide range of topics, controversies and characters.

Pat LaPlatney, Raycom Media president-CEO said: “We are happy to bring Me Time with Frangela to our local audiences at Raycom Media. This is one of many reasons we look forward to coming together with Gray Television to bring quality, original programming across multiple platforms to our local consumers.”

Me Time taps into Frangela’s 20-year friendship and experiences as comedians, pop culture pundits, actresses, radio/podcast hosts, writers, Tweeters and Facebookers. Perhaps best known for battling bugs on NBC’s I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, Frangela has also been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show and VH1’s hit weekly pop culture show Best Week Ever. They’ve appeared as pop culture pundits on NBC’s Today Show and Dateline, as well as on CNN’s Showbiz Tonight. They’ve also hosted their own radio show The Week According to Frangela and they write and produce a weekly political and pop culture podcast The Final Word for Westwood One.
