Ryan Eggold To Host NBC Stations’ ‘Clear The Shelters’

NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations today announced that Ryan Eggold, star of NBC’s New Amsterdam, will host a 30-minute special show that will recap this year’s Clear the Shelters nationwide pet adoption campaign.

The Clear The Shelters show will air on NBC stations beginning Aug. 28 (check local listings) and will feature stories of individuals and celebrities who are fostering and adopting pets during the pandemic, as well as stories from the social media animal brand, The Dodo.

Returning for a sixth consecutive year as a month-long virtual campaign, the stations’ 2020 pet adoption initiative kicked off on Aug. 1 and is helping individuals connect with shelters all across the country and meet pets through web/mobile platforms. The stations’ pet adoption campaign is also making it easy for people to donate online to participating shelters/rescues.
