The new syndicated show from Lionsgate's Debmar-Mercury sees clearances soar past 97% of U.S.

Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury has set Monday, Sept. 12, for the debut of Sherri Shepherd’s new daytime talker Sherri as its station clearances passed 97% coverage of the U.S. The nationally syndicated weekday talk show’s lineup of premier broadcast groups is anchored by Fox Television Stations and includes stations belonging to Cox, Hearst, Sinclair, Nexstar and others.

The actress, comedian and Emmy-winning longtime co-host of The View will appear before a live audience from New York’s Chelsea Studios and feature pop culture, comedy, conversations and a plentiful supply of daytime talk staples, including celebrity and human interest interviews.

Executive Producer David Perler, a multiple Daytime Emmy-winning and -nominated talk show producer (The Wendy Williams Show, The Rosie O’Donnell Show, among others), will be showrunner of Sherri.  Perler will executive produce the talk show alongside Shepherd and her producing partner, Jawn Murray, with Suzanne Bass, Joelle Dawson and Fernita Wynn joining as Co-Executive Producers.

Shepherd said: “Sept. 12 can’t get here fast enough. Hosting my own talk show is a dream come true and I’m so excited to take viewers on this joyous journey. My new show will be something truly fun and fresh, a daily hour of entertainment escapism with plenty of laughter, fun and flirtiness as I give my take on pop culture. And I’m so glad to have such an awesome senior production team helping to make this magic a reality.”

Perler commented: “Sherri is a great fit for the daytime audience because she relates to people in such a natural way. Having worn so many hats over the years between her career, motherhood, her fitness journey and other accomplishments, Sherri brings a mix of fun, laughter and valuable, authentic advice to viewers.”
