Syndicated ‘Dateline’ Tops 85% For Season 3

The syndicated version of Dateline is currently in its second season airing on Fox Television Stations as well as leading station groups across the country and has been renewed for season three on Sinclair, Hearst, Tribune, Nexstar, Graham Media, Gray, Cox Media Group, Tegna, Scripps, Sunbeam, Weigel, Block, Hubbard and more.

NBCUniversal Television Distribution has already sold Dateline in more than 85% of the country when it returns for its third season in national syndication, it was announced today by Sean O’Boyle, EVP of syndication sales, NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution.

The syndicated version of Dateline is currently in its second season airing on Fox Television Stations as well as leading station groups across the country and has been renewed for season three on Sinclair, Hearst, Tribune, Nexstar, Graham Media, Gray, Cox Media Group, Tegna, Scripps, Sunbeam, Weigel, Block, Hubbard and more.

Dateline delivered a 1.4 household rating in its first season and NBCU says it has been the highest-rated one-hour syndicated strip to premiere in the last six seasons.

Currently in its second season, Dateline has grown by 17% year-to-year when airing in the same time period and growing by 8% when airing in a new time period among household ratings, NBCU said. “It is also one of the few syndicated shows to grow from its first to last quarter hour as it sees a 7% growth in households.”

Dateline is produced for syndication by NBC News’ Peacock Productions with Andy Cashman serving as executive producer. David Corvo is the senior executive producer and Liz Cole is the executive producer for Dateline NBC.

Fox17 airs Dateline at 3PM which replaced Crime Watch Daily in the timeslot which was aired in the overnight hours in it’s the first season was on at 2AM which True Crime Files airs at 2AM.
