‘The Best Of California With Pat Pattison’ Goes National On Fun Roads

Former Disney executive and long-time TV broadcast veteran Pat Pattison is continuing his second act by hosting The Best of California with Pat Pattison. The show debuted nationally on the Fun Roads TV channel on June 1 just in time for California’s re-opening and summer travel.

The Best of California with Pat Pattison evolved from Pattison’s YouTube and Facebook video travel segments that caught on to a larger audience. The show highlights California’s natural wonders, unique history and fascinating people from all over the state.

The first episode highlights: the  bizarre story of an Old West outlaw’s cadaver found in the Long Beach Pike amusement park; the abandoned 1920s Lake Marconian Resort used by Walt Disney now on prison grounds; the Dana Adobe in Nipomo; and in the regular food segment, trash that’s recycled into art displayed at Tio’s Tacos Mexican Restaurant in Riverside.

Given his background at Disney, each episode will highlight some unique locale or nugget of Hollywood history. As a California native, Pattison’s passion for the state comes from the fact that his family has lived there since the 1890s and has witnessed its transformation first-hand.

“I’m excited to be partnering with Fun Roads to spread the word about all the beauty and wonder of California,” Pattison says. “Given the past year we’ve had, California is a perfect spot to travel and see things closer to home.”

“When I first saw The Best of California with Pat Pattison I was immediately struck by Pat’s fun and informal hosting style” says Ashley Gracile, Fun Roads CEO-founder. “When you combine that with the massive domestic and international interest of traveling to and through California; adding Pat’s show to Fun Roads 24/7 lineup of road travel shows was a no brainer.”
