It imports four alternative series making their U.S. debuts: British horror whodunnit competition Killer Camp, comedic challenge Taskmaster, culinary competition Fridge Wars and docu-series Being Reuben. In addition, two scripted series, Tell Me A Story, and investigative crime drama Coroner, plus comedy Dead Pixels will also premiere.
The CW Adds More Summer Series
The CW announced Tuesday that it is adding a quartet of alternative acquisitions to its summer line-up and has set its remaining summer 2020 premiere dates.
Making their U.S. debuts on The CW’s summer schedule of acquired and original programming are the horror whodunnit competition Killer Camp on Thursday, July 16 (8-9 p.m. ET/PT), the docu-series Being Reuben on Friday, August 7 (9-9:30) and the comedy panel game show Taskmaster on Sunday, August 2 (8-9) followed that night by the family-centric cooking competition Fridge Wars (9-10).
Two recent scripted acquisitions that will make their debut this summer and air through the fall are two seasons of both Tell Me A Story and Coroner. The dark, re-imagined fairy tale series Tell Me A Story will make its broadcast television debut on Tuesday, July 28 (9-10 p.m.), and the investigative drama Coroner will make its U.S. debut on Wednesday, August 5 (9-10).
Additionally, the half-hour British comedy Dead Pixels has moved into The CW’s summer schedule, making its U.S. premiere on Tuesday, August 18 (8-8:30).
In addition to these late-summer series, four of The CW’s midseason and early-summer series will wrap their seasons: Burden Of Truth whose third season finale airs Thursday, July 9 (8-9) followed by the second season finale of In The Dark on the same night (9-10). The season two finale of Bulletproof is set to air Wednesday, July 29 (9-10) and DC’s Stargirl wraps its first season on Tuesday, August 11 (8-9).
