WUAB To Be Cleveland’s New CW Affiliate

Effective July 16, the Raycom station takes over the CW’s lineup from WBNX.

Raycom Media’s WUAB Cleveland (DMA 19) said today that it has signed an affiliation agreement to become the new home of The CW Network in northeast Ohio. The affiliation and programming changes will take effect Monday, July 16. Winston Broadcasting Network’s WBNX is the current CW affiliate.

The CW Network will bring its hit shows to WUAB with original primetime series including RiverdaleSupergirl, The Flash, Arrow, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Jane the Virgin. Starting this fall, The CW will broadcast a six-night, Sunday through Friday primetime schedule. WUAB will also carry The CW Network’s exclusive television events including the iHEARTRadio Music Festival.

WUAB will continue to air local and syndicated programming including The People’s CourtMom and Family Feud. Following The CW’s primetime lineup from 8 to 10 p.m., WUAB will extend its 10 o’clock newscast to a full hour.
