You Bet Your Life, hosted by Jay Leno, is sold in 98% of the country in advance of its debut on Sept. 13. Launching on the Fox Television Stations, the return of the classic game show is sold in 190 U.S. markets from various station groups, including Sinclair, Nexstar, Scripps, Tegna, Meredith, Gray, Hearst, McKinnon, Standard Media, Block, Lockwood, Mission and Sun Broadcasting.

In making the announcement, Stephen Brown, executive vice president of programming and development, Fox Television Stations and Fox First Run, said: “Our broadcast and advertising partners recognize what we do: America needs to laugh again. And there’s no one better to do that than Jay Leno.”

Hosted by Jay Leno, this new incarnation of the legendary game show will preserve the show’s trademark humorous interviews and unpredictable banter with each contestant, famously originated by Groucho Marx. For this reboot, the game will couple two strangers together for the opportunity to win prize money by correctly answering questions about pre-determined categories. Each episode will present two pairs of contestants. Tonight Show band leader, Kevin Eubanks, will share hosting duties. Tom Werner (The Conners, That ’70s Show) will serve as the executive producer, along with showrunner and executive producer, David Hurwitz (Ellen’s Game of Games and Fear Factor).

You Bet Your Life is cleared in all of the top 100 markets, as well as in Canada; 80% of the 190 cleared markets have double runs and the program is primarily running in key early fringe and access time periods between 5 and 8 p.m.

One hundred eighty episodes of You Bet Your Life will be distributed by Fox First Run. The international format rights for You Bet Your Life are represented by NBCUniversal Formats, a division of Universal Studio Group. Tapes of the produced shows will be available for international distribution through Propagate Content.

Tom Werner added, “We are thrilled that the reaction from the stations has been so positive. We can’t wait till the launch in September!”
