Christopher Bair Joins Wilkinson Barker Knauer

Chris Bair is joining the Wilkinson Barker Knauer law firm in its Washington office.

He joins WBK after two years with the FCC’s International Bureau satellite division where he was an attorney adviser. In that role, Bair was heavily involved in every step of satellite policy — from conducting research on topics for proposals to drafting final rules and licensing documents for commission-level items.

Prior to his role with the FCC, Bair was a research associate for LMI Advisors where he researched a variety of topics in telecommunications regulation, including spectrum availability, foreign market access and equipment authorization.

A published author, his writing has appeared in The SciTech Lawyer’s fall 2015 edition — “Asteroid Mining and Interpretative Declarations: A Path Toward Wider Applicability of the Liability Convention in the Future Space Industry.”

He also served as an articles editor for The George Washington University’s International Law Review. Bair received his J.D. cum laude from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, and a B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Denver.
