Barnfind Launches US-Based Business

Barnfind Technologies, the manufacturer of world-renowned multi-functional, signal neutral fiber transport solutions, has announced the launch of Barnfind USA, the USA-based support, service and sales arm of the Norwegian organization.

Barnfind USA will make its first official appearance at NAB Show New York, where executives from the new company will be present to demonstrate products from Barnfind’s core fiber optic platform, discuss its commitment to the U.S. market and talk about the importance of launching a local office. Industry veteran John Cerquone will serve as president of sales, USA for the company’s two offices, located in New York and North Carolina.

Cerquone has more than 25 years of experience in building and leading sales operations through growth and regional market expansion. His qualifications include extensive experience in strategic marketing, organizational leadership, project management and competitive product positioning plus the ability to translate media business goals into hardware and workflow solutions, improve productivity and increase profitability. Cerquone founded CER-TEC Inc., a manufacturer’s representative firm based in Manhattan.

The U.S.-based team will be rounded out with Renard Fiscus, VP, field operations, a veteran in service integration, including ergonomic infrastructure and general layout requirements; Andrea Cummis, VP, technology who comes to Barnfind USA with more than 30 years of engineering, operations experience in broadcast and media including high-level engineering and operations positions in major networks; and George Gonos, VP, marketing and administration, a seasoned sales and marketing guru with complete understanding of business processes in production, post production, broadcasting and emerging technologies.

At NAB Show NY, Barnfind USA will be highlighting the new BTF1-41 frame in Booth N1029. The innovative frame, recently introduced at IBC 2018, features an extensive network of functions and the capability to transport any signal format. It incorporates future-proof technology to support all emerging signal formats, including 4K and IP, and adds a long-distance component to Barnfind’s multi-functional, signal neutral fiber transport platform. This makes it the ideal solution for a vast variety of applications including sports, telemedicine and government projects.

The BTF1-41 is being shown alongside enhanced versions of the company’s core BarnOne and BarnMini families that now offer more control options, advanced functionality and improved configuration capabilities. The company said the improvements reflect its “commitment to green practices by packing numerous functions into one rack unit and keeping power consumption as low as possible.”
