TVN’S CYBERSECURITY FOR BROADCASTERS RETREAT

CBR 2020 To Focus On Engineering-IT-Security

Set for Feb. 12-13, 2020, in Orlando, Fla., TVNewsCheck’s annual Cybersecurity for Broadcasters Retreat will gather TV engineering, IT and security executives, managers and professionals to build collaborative strategies for enhancing security in the TV industry.

TVNewsCheck’s third annual Cybersecurity for Broadcasters Retreat, set for Feb. 12-13, 2020, in Orlando, Fla., will focus on the important relationship between TV engineering, IT and security managers as they collaborate to increase security and resilience at networks, station groups and other media companies.

Educational programming will include an Incident Response Simulation that will stage an escalating breach in the production and distribution environment, training participants in how to calmly and effectively react to the crisis.

CBR 2020 will also feature an in-depth workshop on Securing the Newsroom During the 2020 Election Season. The workshop will focus not just on how to prevent being taken off air by an attacker, but also how to harden the newsroom against false information maliciously distributed via social media or other means.

Another key session will focus on “Security Planning for Mergers and Acquisitions.”

Along with educational programming, CBR 2020 will once again offer broadcaster- and technology vendor-only Private Information Exchanges, where participants can gather in highly private settings to discuss common challenges, with the conversation facilitated by industry security leaders.

“Since 2018, CBR has been building community among TV’s engineering, IT and security communities,” said Kathy Haley, co-founder and publisher of TVNewsCheck. “The educational and other programming we plan for the February retreat will offer these executives and managers a time apart when they can advance security strategies.”
