ENCO Earns Two Best Of Show Awards At ISE

ENCO, a provider of automated broadcast and production workflows, including closed and open captioning, visual radio, audio compliance, instant media playout, remote contribution, and cloud-based web streaming, exhibited for the first time at ISE this year and came home with two Best of Show awards from Future Publishing.

ENCO enCaption5 won Best of Show from Sound & Video Contractor. The software was recognized for its machine learning (ML) with advanced speech-to-text conversion and grammatical structure analysis, delivering accurate captioning with extremely low latency. enCaption 5 creates transcripts and adds open or closed captions to live and pre-recorded AV content, increasing accessibility for meetings, events, and live broadcasts.

Redeveloped as a cloud-native, microservices-based solution, enCaption5 takes advantage of public cloud infrastructure, eliminating the need for on-premises capital equipment when captioning or transcribing file-based content. enCaption5 can also be deployed on-premises or in hybrid on-prem/cloud workflows for customers who need traditional AV signal connectivity or prefer an on-premises solution.

“We are honored that enCaption5 was so well-received at ISE 2023, which was the debut of the software to the international commercial AV audience,” says Ken Frommert, ENCO president. “We’ve invested a lot to automate open captioning with speed and accuracy for the pro AV industry and applications like live meetings, presentations, classes/lectures, and events, with a rapidly growing AV customer base in the Americas. That’s why having Sound & Video Contractor back our innovation with this award means so much to ENCO.”

ENCO RUSHWORKS PTX Model 3 PRO, shipping now, also took home a Best of Show Award from AV Technology. The PTX Model 3 PRO pan/tilt head — ideal for houses of worship, entertainment and sports venues, and news-style video production — delivers smooth, ramped moves on both axes. According to the company, the design “combines the best features of the previous models into a sleek, powerful, and whisper-quiet precision robotic head that’s a great platform for any camera — from Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4k or Pocket Cinema to the URSA and new Studio Camera 4K styles, plus other larger form factors like Canon C models, Lumix Box Cinema, Red, Array, and the Sony FX line. PTX Model 3 PRO can be used with any controller that provides VISCA over IP communications. Users can also remotely control positioning and many camera functions using a joystick and various hardware and software interfaces.”

Rush Beesley, RUSHWORKS founder, said: “We are thrilled that AV Technology chose PTX Model 3 PRO for a Best in Show Award, and right on the heels of our announcement that we are now part of ENCO. The award adds to PTX Model 3 PRO’s growing momentum.”
